Deni Cashin is a Family Law Lawyer with diverse practice experience, called to the Bar in Alberta (1996), New York (1991) (inactive) and Ontario (1983) (inactive).
Deni negotiates and litigates family law issues, including parenting (custody and access), child support, spousal support and matrimonial property matters.
She was appointed a Dispute Resolution Officer (DRO) for the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta in 2009.
Deni is a certified Collaborative Family Law lawyer. She also works as a private mediator.
As a roster lawyer for Legal Resources for Children and Youth (LRCY), Deni acts as counsel for children when appointed by the Provincial government. She also acts as children’s counsel for CLERC (Children’s Legal and Educational Resource Centre) on a pro bono basis.
Deni volunteers at Calgary Legal Guidance and is a former member of the Law Society of Alberta Family Law Practice Committee. She currently sits on the Canadian Bar Association Family Law Section executive in Calgary.
