Susan is a partner in Gordon Zwaenepoel and has worked with individuals and families facing separation and divorce for over 30 years. She focuses on helping divorcing couples to resolve conflict through mediation, collaborative practice, and negotiation, offering clients options for resolving disputes in a civilized, respectful, and cost-effective manner without going to court. Susan is one of Edmonton’s most experienced Collaborative Family Lawyers. Her skill and experience assists her clients in achieving a settlement that reduces the loss and damage to their children, finances and business that is often caused by divorce.
Susan has been actively involved in the development and growth of Collaborative Practice in Alberta. She has been the Registrar of the Association of Collaborative Professionals (Edmonton) since 2002. She is on the Board of Directors of the Collaborative Divorce Alberta Association, is a graduate of the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals Leadership Program and is a trainer of lawyers, financial and mental health professionals in Collaborative Practice and Interest Based Negotiation. Susan has been qualified as an expert in Collaborative Practice by the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta.
