Rebecca Cuthbertson Hulst is the Past Chair of both the CBA Family Section (North) and the Women’s Legal Education and Action Fund [LEAF], she is an active volunteer with Toastmasters and the Edmonton Community Legal Centre [ECLC], and she is a Child Support Resolution Officer with the Province. She has practiced Family Law since 2003 and Collaborative Family Law since 2010. Her focus is on the children; she is a Registered Collaborative Family Lawyer, a Child-Inclusive Mediator and an Independent Legal Counsel for Children.
On July 1, 2020, Rebecca transitioned her family and mediation practice to Bokenfohr Connolly. Before this, she was part of the Collaborative team at Gunn Law Group and for several years operated her own law firm: Torch Law & Mediation. She has continued to live the Torch motto: “Lighting the pathways to resolution.”
Separation and Divorce can be stressful and confusing – both for children and adults. Rebecca empowers her clients by helping them understand the law and how it applies to their family. Her goal is for them to feel comfortable, confident, and prepared to reach a fair and amicable settlement outside of Court.
If a matter requires Independent Legal Advice for a Separation Agreement, assistance with obtaining a Joint Divorce, or simply a basic explanation of the law as it applies to families in Alberta, Rebecca is happy to meet clients on a limited-scope basis for morning or afternoon consultations.
