Originally from Athabasca, Alberta, I joined Quantz Law shortly after completing my Juris Doctor degree in 2014 from the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta. I was called to the Alberta Bar as a Barrister and Solicitor in July 2015 and mainly practice in the areas of Family Law, Mediation, Real Estate, and Wills and Estates. I primarily work out of our main Edmonton office, but am excited to serve northern Alberta clients as well from our Athabasca branch office one day a week.
I am a music enthusiast and am actively involved in both the St. Albert and Edmonton communities. I am currently a member of the Edmonton Dollar Club and formerly served as President. I sit on the Board of Directors for the Stop Abuse in Families (SAiF) Society and enjoy volunteering with the Edmonton Community Legal Centre as often as I can.
I first learned about the Collaborative Family Law practice while attending law school and immediately knew that it was something I wanted to pursue. While litigation and the court system are inherently adversarial, Collaborative Law focuses on reducing future conflict between the parties by improving communication and problem-solving skills. To me, helping clients work through the issues while reducing further tension and strain on relationships is absolutely vital when children are involved. I am passionate about this process and believe that my experience working with both urban and rural clientele equip me with the skills needed to assist clients with a wide range of legal issues.
