I am a dedicated Family lawyer with a strong passion for problem-solving and helping families find efficient, peaceful resolutions to their disputes. After earning my law degree in 2011, I was called to the Nigerian Bar Association, where I practiced across various areas of law. In 2022, I became a member of the Alberta Law Society after completing my articles in November 2021. Since then, I have focused exclusively on Family Law.
As an advocate, I am deeply committed to seeking reasonable and compassionate solutions in divorce and family matters. I believe in keeping families out of court whenever possible and minimizing conflict. Families are the foundation of society, and I am convinced that adversarial approaches to resolving family disputes only add unnecessary strain, especially on children.
Before being formally trained in collaborative law, my approach was always settlement-oriented, which allows me to reduce both stress and costs for my clients. I understand the emotional toll divorce can take, and I strive to guide my clients toward the bigger picture, helping them navigate these challenges with resolution in mind. Above all, I believe family lawyers have an ethical responsibility to “do no harm,” especially when children are caught in the middle of these difficult situations.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, volunteering and travelling.
