Henrietta is a Barrister, Solicitor, Collaborative Lawyer and Mediator who obtained a Law degree (with honours) in 2001 and practiced law for several years in another common law jurisdiction before being called to the Bar at both the Law Society of Upper Canada (Ontario) and the Law Society of Alberta. She has a Master of Laws (LLM) from the University of Calgary. She attended training in Contract Administration at the University of Calgary.
Henrietta practices principally in the areas of corporate commercial law, real estate, family law and wills. She is an avid litigator appearing frequently at the Court of Queen’s Bench and the Provincial Courts.
She has served as a Director on the Boards of the Calgary Housing Company, the Persons with Developmental Disabilities Calgary Region and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) in Alberta as well as Chief Examiner for Corporate Law with the ICSA.
She also holds memberships of the Canadian Bar Association, Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (UK), the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, UK and Canada; the Alberta Family Mediation Society, Collaborative Divorce Alberta and the International Bar Association.
As a believer in giving back to her community, Henrietta has volunteered and continues to support groups such as Calgary Legal Guidance, the Calgary Housing Company, the Elizabeth Fry Society of Alberta, Legal Aid Alberta, Centre for Newcomers, and the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in Alberta.
Henrietta serves as a Director on the SAIT Board of Governors and the Board of the Norfolk Housing Association. She has served as a Judge at the North American Universities Negotiation Competition. Henrietta is a published poet and writes short stories.
