Samantha completed her formal collaborative training in 2017, however, she has had a very broad exposure to the Collaborative Process since beginning her articles in 2014. Samantha has been practicing family law under the guidance of Andrew Lawson, one of the lawyers involved in the 2001 initial training and Collaborative Divorce movement in the Edmonton area.
Samantha has appeared before the Provincial Court of Alberta and the Alberta Court of Queen’s Bench on numerous occasions, however, the focus of her practice is to, where possible, utilize interest-based negotiations and alternative dispute resolution techniques to help clients navigate the various emotional, social, and financial impacts of separation and divorce.
Samantha is a volunteer in and enthusiastic promoter of the Morinville community where she practices, having previously sat on the Board of Directors for Sturgeon Victim Services Association and as both a Director and Vice President of the Morinville and District Chamber of Commerce. Samantha currently sits on the Board of Directors for the Sturgeon Community Hospital Foundation.
