After obtaining her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 2016, Susan spent two years providing global humanitarian aid to people in South America, Central America, and Asia. She is motivated to help others, whatever their life circumstances are.
Susan chose to focus her practice on Collaborative Family Law because she is passionate about helping people who are going through especially difficult and challenging times. Susan is committed to serving her clients with an empathetic and attentive approach. She understands that separations and divorces have multiple aspects – financial, legal, and emotional – and she aims to address all three. She believes that families can be better assisted by resolving their family law conflicts outside of court, and that collaborative law helps both parties meet their needs and hopes in the long run. Susan engages in interest-based negotiations to find the best-case scenario for everyone involved, whether it’s related to parenting time, decision-making, child support, spousal support, or division of property.
